Play ,Make ,Create

 

On Monday we read a book called The squirrel who squabbled. Sophie and I did build we had to gather to create something to help the squirrels find food in the wild. We made a food and nut detector that could detect pears, apples, acorns, mushrooms and strawberries.I really liked the twinkle lights on the food detector but I wished we added bamboo.  

Play, Make, Create.

 

For this weeks Play, Make, Create we read the book Theodore the unsure by Pip Smith.I worked with Imogen. We made a gadget pack so Theodore can cut his main. In side of our gadget pack there is a head band, hair tie's, hair clip's, flat iron, spray bottle, razor, comb, scissors. I think the hair clips worked well because you could actually put them in your hair but I think we could of added a little more colour. 

Kite Day

 Last Friday the whole school made kites. Imogen and I worked together we used bamboo and put it into a cross shape then we wrapped string around the middle of the cross we then put silage rap around the bamboo then we made holes in the middle of the kite and we tied some string through the hole and went out to fly our kite but it crashed  into the ground and the bamboo snapped so we took the kite back inside to fix the bamboo. I taped the bamboo back together to try the kite out but it still didn't fly so I decided to make my own kite I made it out of bamboo ,string ,tape and a garbage bag.

 On Monday we did play ,make ,create the book title was called I,m sticking with you.

I worked with Ryan A we made friendship bracelets.

I was really proud of the technique I used for my bracelet.

I think the colours I used worked really well together.

Today we did play, make, create the book was called be you.

I worked with Sophie we made a bird house.

The hardest thing was cutting  the holes out of the box because the scissors did't work.

I think the food and water bowl worked best.

I would change the top shelf and the roof.

The easiest thing was probably the leafs and the bark.  

NumBots & TTRockstars Blog Post

 Term 2, Week 1 2021

During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start it was super easy but progressively got more challenging.

I am now on level glass of NumBots.  

I enjoy NumBots because It help's me with my maths and finding new ways to work maths out.

What I find challenging is when they do addition with more than two numbers.

This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables. First we had to complete 10 Studio games which were really hard because they had basic facts right up to 12 x 12. Now that hard part is over we can play in the Garage and start learning our tables.

I think that TTRockstars will be good at helping me with timetables of by heart.

Play,make,create term 2

 

  For this week's play, make, create we read the book Up The Creek. The book was based on teamwork. We had four tasks to choose from. I buddied up with Imogen and we decided to choose the create task which is to make something to help the three animals communicate better. We made a calendar to show who gets to choose what to do on each day because they all ways disagree with each other. The order of the animals worked well but we could only fit 28 days on our calendar so we made it February. There was a spelling mistake with one of the words but we know what it is.
